CARLI is seeking interested, qualified CARLI governing member libraries to participate in I-Share, the shared Ex Libris Voyager integrated library system currently operated by CARLI and used by 85 CARLI libraries. Libraries joining in this implementation round would begin migration planning in fall 2015 and go “live” on Voyager and in the I-Share union catalog in early summer 2016. Quincy College-Gyrfalcon (1949)
This tranquil image comes from the 1949 yearbook for Quincy College, now Quincy University. The photo captures the bell tower of Francis Hall framed by trees laced with snow. Francis Hall was originally built between 1893-1898, and the building continues to form the backbone of the Quincy, Illinois campus today.
As part of CARLI’s project to seek a replacement for the Voyager software over the next few years, CARLI and the I-Share Next Task Force have invited firms that offer library management software to academic libraries and consortia to conduct an informational webinar about their product for CARLI Governing Member Libraries.
On Saturday, January 31st, at 11:53 AM we received reports of VuFind not responding. CARLI System Services staff investigated the problem and determined that it was due to one of VuFind's services exhausting its memory resources. More memory was added and VuFind returned to normal operation by 3:30 PM.

This photo dated from the 1870s captures the faculty of the Cook County Normal School, which evolved to become what is now Chicago State University. The Chicago Normal School was founded in 1867 and did not find its first permanent home until around 1870, so these instructors must be among the founding faculty of the fledgling institution.
