At the March 2021 CARLI Board of Directors meeting the Board approved the recommendation to form two new task forces that reflect the needs identified by CARLI committees as a result of the migration to Alma Primo VE. The initial term of the task forces will be one year; terms may be extended as needed to complete their work.

CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on advisory committees. The application period will close on April 28 at 5:00 p.m. Terms on these committees will begin July 1, 2021. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply.

Join CARLI's Instruction Committee for an Online Instruction Discussion
We have all learned a great deal since March 2020, but there are still many questions about the best ways to keep our students and ourselves engaged through online instruction. Join the CARLI Instruction Committee on March 3 at 1:00 p.m., for a second roundtable discussion focused on the shift to online instruction offering instruction librarians an opportunity to continue to share thoughts on how they are coping with change a year after the start of the pandemic.

ILDS Spring Closure Dates
It is time to collect the dates that ILDS locations will be closed during spring break. ILDS contacts should complete the survey by January 29 to allow time for us to share this information with RAILS and IHLS.
Libraries that have not opted in for delivery and will not be opting in during the spring semester do not need to fill out this survey.

On Friday, January 29th at noon, CARLI will turn on/enable the Loan Status Notice letter for all I-Share institutions.
This is currently letter #79 in the Letters Configuration List found at Alma Configuration-> General -> Letters-> Letters Configuration-> Loan Status Notice.

CARLI and ILDS Holiday Information
The CARLI office will be closed December 24 through Friday, January 1. Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 4. The CARLI Office will also be closed for Martin Luther King's birthday on January 18, 2021.

CARLI staff have finished adjusting the Alma fulfillment configuration pertaining to the consortial 2/1/2021 term loan for all I-Share libraries, for both local patron settings (including library-submitted exceptions) and I-Share patron settings.
The bulk due date changes for each library's eligible loans to I-Share patrons have also been completed.
The bulk due date updates for local patrons are finished for the majority of I-Share libraries; CARLI staff have contacted those libraries where we still have outstanding work to complete for their local patrons' due dates.
