ProQuest will be taking up to an eight-hour maintenance window beginning Saturday, January 15 at 10:00pm ET to upgrade infrastructure, enhance security, and maintain reliability on many ProQuest products. During this maintenance window, the following products will be temporarily unavailable.
If you'd like to talk with CARLI staff and your CARLI library colleagues about Alma Fulfillment and Automated Fulfillment Network workflows, known issues, and Q & A, join us online for the fall sessions of “Let’s talk about Fulfillment (I mean Alma, not life’s purpose).”
Sessions are scheduled for every other week, alternating between Tuesdays at 10:30am and Fridays at 2:00pm.
CARLI Office Staff will be online for each session to work with your questions and to facilitate the discussion in these informal sessions.
The CARLI Board approved a winter break recommendation by the Resource Sharing Committee to turn off the ability to place new I-Share requests through Primo VE between 5pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 and 8am on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
(I-Share requests are requests placed by patrons of one I-Share institution for physical materials owned by another I-Share institution).

The CARLI office will be closed December 24 through Tuesday, January 4. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, January 5. The CARLI Office will also be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 17, 2021.

The Annual Meeting will feature a keynote address by Emily Knox, "After the Fire: LIS Education in a Changed World." Dr. Knox is Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and an associate professor in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

What is the task?: When an item expires on your library’s hold shelf, or, the requesting patron states they no longer want an item they had requested before it expires, library staff must follow the transit workflow in Alma to return the item to its owning library.
