Resource Sharing Open house and In-Person Discussion at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington and Heartland Community College, Organized by the CARLI Resource Sharing Committee

Come join colleagues from across Illinois to talk about resource sharing! The CARLI Resource Sharing Committee is pleased to announce our first (in a few years) in-person open house and discussion event where you can meet other library workers, grab lunch together, and talk about topics in library resource sharing.

The event will be hosted in-person on Friday, March 14 from 10am-2:45pm.

Illinois Wesleyan University, The Ames Library, Bloomington, IL - Morning
Heartland Community College, Library, Normal, IL - Afternoon

There is street parking adjacent to The Ames Library, and a lot to the east of the library (Lot 6, map linked above, yellow highlights are street/lot parking, red stars are disability parking spaces; all free).

Heartland Community College-Campus Map
All parking is free and plentiful. Select a location near the SCB (library) or the WDC (student center); there is time to move your car between lunch and the tour if needed.

09:30am - 10:00am Arrival and Welcome at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU), The Ames Library
10:00am - 11:30am Resource Sharing workflow tour and discussions (IWU)
11:30am - 01:00pm Travel to Heartland Community College (HRT), Student Center;
Lunch together in the Heartland Student Center in the WDC building- bring your own lunch or pick-up a meal en route to HRT;
Transit to Heartland Library.
01:00pm - 01:15pm Arrival and Welcome at Heartland Community College (HRT), Library
01:15pm - 02:45pm Resource Sharing workflow tour and discussions (HRT)

Please note: Lunch and coffee are not included. Please plan to bring your own lunch, or to pick-up a meal en route to Heartland. After transiting from IWU to HRT, we will be gathering to eat together in the Heartland Community College Student Center which is located in the WDC building. There are many options for purchasing a meal available en route between IWU and HRT.

This event is free and open to library workers at all CARLI member institutions.
