Find More Illinois (FMI): An Introduction for I-Share Members

Join staff from RAILS and CARLI to learn more about Find More Illinois and how it can expand your patron's resource sharing options.

Find More Illinois (FMI) is an opt-in Interlibrary Loan platform offered to all Illinois libraries by the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). All of CARLI's I-Share member libraries may choose to join FMI.

Please note: Implementation fees to join FMI are waived through 2023. Annual membership fees are based on an institution’s collection budget and can be found on the Find More Illinois website.

Find More Illinois member libraries contribute holding records for their interlibrary-loanable resources to the FMI shared catalog. This catalog is publicly searchable, and FMI member library patrons may request items through the catalog that are then delivered via ILDS. Library staff at each FMI member institution process lending and borrowing requests with the FMI software.
