CARLI Updates

CARLI has hired a new Senior Electronic Resources Coordinator who will start on Sept. 30.

Work is being done to open the Fall Selection cycle, which is targeted to be open from Oct. 7 – Nov. 11. There are still a few details to work out before the selection cycle can open.

CARLI continues to work with Sage in hopes of covering all Sage products under one master agreement/universal license.

The CARLI board will continue to talk about brokering resources for non-CARLI members as an alternate stream of revenue.

There is a surplus of funds generated from the migration to ALMA/Primo. The CARLI board will discuss ideas on how to best spend this surplus and put together a document organizing their plans.

Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

Social Explorer: Decision was made to pursue Social Explorer and add it to the Electronic Resources interest survey.

Statista: There was no new information to present at this meeting. Any further decisions to make regarding Statista will happen after the results of the electronic resources interest survey are in.

E-Resources Survey

Jenny put together a draft of the ER Survey. The CP committee was in agreement about the vendors/products that were on the list. CP committee discussed the timing of the survey, and it was determined that it will be open from Sept. 23 – Oct.4.

CPC Annual Project

Pam updated the committee that her first few attempts to find a speaker for our symposium were unsuccessful. Pam has another contact at the UW-Milwaukee whom she will reach out to. Kavita also mentioned having a contact at the University of Minnesota.

The CP committee discussed basic content of the symposium but ultimately decided to wait on making final decisions until there was a chance to talk to the new Senior Electronic Resources Coordinator.

Tasks Assigned

E-Resources survey will be open from Sept. 23 – Oct.4. Amanda will draft an email that will accompany the survey.
