Would you like a sleek, easy-to-update library website that meets the latest accessibility standards and works on any patron device, but haven't the time or expertise to design one? We've got you covered. Through a partnership with NC LIVE, North Carolina′s library consortium, CARLI is excited to offer an easy to implement, low-cost library website service to CARLI member libraries.
The NC LIVE Website Service is based on the popular library-focused Content Management System (CMS) called LibGuides. LibGuides uses a web-based template that offers an intuitive interface with a contemporary, customizable design.

Depending on the complexity of your website and whether you’ll also be migrating from another CMS platform, it usually takes anywhere from 2-6 months for your new LibGuides-based website to be up and running.
You are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the website you create using the NC LIVE Website Service. The aforementioned “Best Practices & Implementation Guide” is quite thorough, but if you should need further assistance (during setup or post-implementation), please contact CARLI at support@carli.illinois.edu and we’ll do our best to get you the help you need.
If all that sounds good to you, you can sign up by logging into the Selection System and choosing the NC LIVE option under the One-Time Purchase tab. Please coordinate with your Library Director or E-resources Liaison as they should have access to the Selection System and can sign up for the service on your behalf.
