Let's Talk About Fulfillment: 2024-2025 Series on on Reports in use within CARLI Libraries

LTAF for fall 2024/spring 2025 has the theme: "Reports in use within CARLI Libraries."

Through the discussions of the CARLI Resource Sharing Committee, we recognize that libraries are interested in knowing more about what other libraries are doing when it comes to reports and reporting. Both Alma related, and for the library overall. Perhaps you joined us for the informal discussion back in October titled, Reporting for Duty: Telling Your Library’s Story with Data, where we started the discussion on what reports we gather, and why.

Each session will include a brief presentation by staff at one of CARLI's member libraries, talking to you all about a specific report or reports that they work with at their library and what purpose that report serves for them.

This series of sessions is intended to be inspirational and informative, but not a formal "how-to" training session. There will be time each session for Q&A, and as always, the opportunity for libraries to schedule meetings with CARLI staff for individual institution follow-ups.

Presenter opportunity! This topic can only be a series if we have other people willing to share. If you have a report that you use at your library- Alma related or otherwise- and are interested in presenting, please also send an email to CARLI Support and we'll work with you to get a session scheduled. Remember in volunteering, you also do not need to become a trainer, just an explainer. The CARLI Office will support other libraries in adapting your report for their needs, especially if it is Alma-related.

We all have a story to tell about the work we do and part of telling it is using data to help us understand where all of that time went! Scheduling reports with Alma Analytics has been transformative for how Central Access Services at University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign (UIU) collects data so they can track and observe trends and celebrate what they’ve accomplished. Janelle Sander will be sharing what kinds of Alma transactions UIU collects from Analytics and how the reports were constructed.
