As part of CARLI's implementation of the Illinois SCOERs (Support for Creation of Open Educational Resources) grant, which we received from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) in the U.S. Department of Education, as part of the Open Textbooks Pilot Program, we want to ensure that our applicants are prepared and knowledgeable about the grant process from start to finish. To accomplish this task we will be posting tips, videos, FAQs, important links, and pertinent information to help our applicants along the way.
In December of 2021 and January of 2022, we held several workshops to go over the Il SCOERs application, how to fill it out, what was expected and how it would be scored.
One of the requirements of the Illinois SCOERs grant is that applicants must include an assignment among their ancillary materials that pedagogically incorporates 3d printing. To address concerns about how to incorporate 3d printing Elisandro Cabada offered a workshop on how to do just that.
