PDA Series: Best Practices for Effective Email Outreach

Effective and appropriate communication is now more important than ever. In a profession driven by collaboration and cooperation, the nuances of communication and tone can set the tone for future interactions. Informed by the DISC model, this webinar will teach participants how to craft their message depending on the audience, successfully apply the DISC model, and draw on this knowledge for any future communications. Attendees will be able to:

• Understand the need to adjust their communication style based on the recipient.
• Apply the DISC model to gather information as to their recipient's communication style
• Use what you have learned to create an effective email for each person

Presenter Khyle Hannan joined Northeastern University in August of 2018 as Entrepreneurship Librarian. In this role, he is responsible for working with university students, faculty, staff, and alumni in helping them research, plan and realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. Khyle has been working in higher education for over 18 years and is committed to teaching the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset as an essential component for success.
