What is MARC and why do we need to know about it? Why is it still relevant? Why are we still using something from the 1960s? 

Join Robin Fay in learning the secrets of your library catalog through the lens of MARC. MARC is the backbone of the data representing our resources; it is how our patrons and you(!) find things! We’ll discuss the relationship between the public view of resources and MARC, terminology related to MARC, common MARC fields, data relationships within a MARC record, why MARC is still relevant, and much more! We’ll wrap up with a glimpse of the future.
