Partners in Teaching: Librarians Co-Teaching with Colleagues
A series of lightning talks
Instructional Possibilities: CARLI Instruction’s theme for this year invites librarians to reflect on their praxis and explore new ways to refresh their teaching.
The Instruction Committee is delighted to host our second virtual event this semester, Partners in Teaching: Librarians Co-Teaching with Colleagues, this Thursday from 11-12pm. We have four excellent librarians who will be presenting their experiences developing library instruction in collaboration with campus partners:
Serving as an Embedded Librarian in Nursing Courses
Laura Killingsworth—Nursing Librarian @ Illinois State University
Learning to Speak the Same Language: Collaborating with English as a Second Language Curriculum Coordinators for Graduate Library Instruction
Piper Martin—Reference Services & Instruction Librarian @ University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Picture This: An Innovative Active Learning Collaboration with History and the Library
Amy Odwarka—First-Year Experience & Student Success Librarian @ Eastern Illinois University
Strengthening Teacher-Librarian Collaboration: A Case Study in Co-Teaching
Claire N. Reinert—Research & Instruction Librarian @ McKendree University
Immediately following the lightning talks, attendees are welcome to connect with our presenters and participate in a community discussion focused on instruction and library partnerships. We hope to see you there!
