E-Resource Management Committee Meeting: August 16, 2024

CONFERENCE CALL

Announcements   

CARLI UPDATES

  • CARLI Announcements:
    • Ted Schwitzner from CARLI will be transitioning into Denise Green’s co-liaison position as she is retiring at the end of October.  

Discussion

  • Introductions were made and new members were welcomed.
  • Group discussed the new EBSCO interface along with the new database collection provided by the State of Illinois. The group agreed that despite a few glitches, things are running smoothly.
  • Group discussed some ideas on what the committee should focus on this year. Group decided that we should survey the member libraries as to who is currently using Alma/Primo VE and what training/information they would like from us.

Decisions

  • Permanent meeting time will be the 3rd Friday of the month at 1:00pm.

Tasks Assigned

  • Jennifer Patterson did minutes.
  • Denise Green and Marisa Tolbert will create a survey with the software they have available and send to committee for approval.
