Angelique Carson from the Washington Research Library Consortium will discuss issues related diversity, equity and inclusion. For instance, how could DEI topics, such as equitable access, raise the quality of assignments, discussions and group projects in your course? What have you had to do to amend traditionally published material to become relevant to your course? Your students? Your community?
In this two-part workshop, we will explore the opportunities to use OER to highlight DEI opportunities in your courseware material, using OEP. This discussion will include OER as a social justice tool, examples of Open Pedagogy and a workshop assignment using evidence-based teaching practices.
This workshop is part of a series of workshops designed for the awardees of the Illinois Secretary of State/ Illinois State Library OER Grants.
This workshop is open to all CARLI members.
