- A Google Doc has been created to compile planning information, an agenda has been created as well (available on the Google Doc )
- The workshop will take place Wednesday May 8th, 2019 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum.
- 25-30 can attend.
- Tonia will be a speaker, as well as two hands on activities: Book Wrappers for Thin and thicker books.
- The subcommittee should compile a list a supplies and vendors to send to Elizabeth.
- Preservation Open House:
- Have not heard much from Chicago locations, may shift the focus on Springfield, and UIUC as back-up.
- Bonnie looked into Springfield, in addition to the Abraham Lincoln Museum, the Illinois State Archives and Illinois State Military Museum. All can accommodate.
- If possible, we will announce the open house in January so people can save the date.
- Bonnie suggested the open house taking place after May.
- We also should take into consideration ALA and SAA (and any other conferences happening throughout the summer).
- If the workshop is held in Springfield, we may need to narrow it down to two locations: Lincoln Museum and Illinois State Military Museum. State Archives would require more transportation coordination.
- Future Workshops:
- Webinar 2020:
- Emma reported the sub-committee has yet to convene, likely will do so in January.
