Announcements

• CARLI Announcement: the CARLI Office will be closed between December 23rd- January 2nd. To report system outages or any other serious problems, please call 866-904-5843 and select the option to page a tech support staff person. For all other issues, please email support@carli.illinois.edu and CARLI staff will respond when regular hours resume.
• Member Announcement: Bonnie attended the Conservation Colloquium at the University of Illinois.

Discussion

• Annual Project
  • It’s recommended to submit newsletter articles by the first week of the month in order to receive feedback. This allows submissions to be published as blog articles mid-month and in the Newsletter at the end of the month.
  • Jen will share her In-House Management article this afternoon.
  • Jenny may share hers later as she is in the process of moving at work. 
• Webliography
  • Beth checked her links.
  • Jamie checked her links after the last meeting.
  • Others are continuing to check their links.
• Workshops
  • Spring Collections Care Workshop is April 11, 2017. Jen reports that planning is going well. Elizabeth and Nicole sent information to Jen, and she has forwarded it to the proper channels, Jen is waiting on for a response. Also, a space is being reserved and Jen will make sure all the information is to the committee by January.
  • Summer 2017 Water/Mold Workshop: Bonnie is looking into securing a speaker and will seek out a location in Springfield. Jen offered to assist Bonnie. 
• New Business
  • CARLI Committee’s “Office Hours” Open Call: Anne Craig reported that she received good feedback on what could make the Committees stronger. 13-14 people participated.

Decisions

• Meghan Ryan will take minutes.
• November 14, 2016 minutes were approved.
• Participation in the Spring Collections Care Workshop will initially be limited to 1 person per institution and will open up to additional attendees (possibly March 1st) if space remains. 
• Springfield was decided as the location for the Summer Water/Mold Workshop.
• The meeting adjourned at 10:40 am. 

Tasks Assigned

• Bonnie will email the group when she finds out more about a location for the Summer 2017 workshop.
