Decisions

• Minutes from Dec 2014 meeting were approved.

Announcements

• Nicole and Elizabeth approached a likely candidate to serve on the committee only to learn she was going on maternity leave. They are looking into another possible candidate.  If any committee member has a recommendation, please let them know.
• Summer Burn Simulation and Recovery Workshop: During our meeting, David Ehrenhart, from the Illinois Fire Service Institute, contacted Nicole and Elizabeth to confirm July 16, 2015 as the date preferred by IFSI staff to hold the workshop.

Discussion

• Spring Preservation Open Houses/Tours
  • Questions were raised about the “snow date.” As we do not have a lunch space for the snow date, it was decided that no snow date should be offered.
• Preservation Annual Project—CARLI Institution Preservation Survey
• Committee members looked over proposed survey carefully, revising question by question. Those changes will be communicated to group by Lorraine and sent out for approval.

Tasks Assigned

• Anne will send notes to everyone regarding new links to webliography.
• Nicole and Elizabeth will invite another individual to serve on the committee.
• Spring Preservation Open Houses/Tours
  • Sandra reported that she had a blurb from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and is waiting on one from the Illinois State Archives.
  • Once the blurb is in hand, Nicole and Elizabeth will set up the Registration Page, including information and registration form.
  • Once a registration page is available, the event will be publicized on CARLI email lists and in the CARLI newsletter.
  • If not enough people register, then personal invitations to nearby institutions may be sent out.
• Lorraine will send the revised survey questions to Nicole and Elizabeth to create the online survey.
