On Friday, January 25, 2013 the Instruction Team will once again sponsor an Unconference at Illinois Wesleyan University. Unconferences are founded on the concept that everyone attending a conference has valuable ideas and experiences to share. Participants choose what topics they are most interested in and break out into discussion groups. The Instruction Team is proposing potential topics that focus on the collaboration between faculty and librarians, examining the role of the one-shot instruction session, the traditional research paper, and sequencing instruction within a major. Interest in these topics and others suggested by those attending will determine the breakout session discussion points. You are encouraged to invite teaching faculty to join you for the day. Save the date and watch for registration information to appear shortly. The Instruction Team looks forward to hearing your ideas!
