Decisions

  • At the November 16, 2023, CARLI meeting, the Preservation Committee Table question to attendees will be: What is the biggest preservation concern at your institution?

Announcements

Discussion

  • Monthly Preservation series, Disaster Planning 101, discussed and the list of upcoming articles confirmed.
  • Preservation Resources page: link checking discussion about these topics with confirmed stable link checks and the addition of new links in several areas.   
  • Educational Programming:  IFSI fire salvage workshop was contacted and offered potential dates in May 2024: 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th though they were unable to offer a quote in time for this Committee meeting and will submit a quote soon. These dates have yet to be checked against the CARLI calendar for availability, so further discussion about it will be by email or at the next Committee meeting.
  • CARLI Annual Meeting - Table Talks:   This committee will have a table at the meeting and discussion ensued about a good question to ask attendees: What is the biggest preservation concern at your institution? was suggested and approved. At this table will be Shelby and Brad and Jade may also attend.
  • Question arose about locating Preservation topics on the CARLI website as there has been difficulty in locating this information easily.  
  • The meeting was adjourned at 1:45pm.
