Decisions:

• Minutes of the November 2013 meeting were approved prior to the meeting.

Announcements:

• Four new libraries ready to join CARLI. Integration will be completed by the end of next week.
• Board voted on changes to membership guidelines. Affiliate members will have fewer privileges.

Tasks assigned:

• Elizabeth will draft the email to the three potential panel presenters for IACRL. Lorna or Debbie will sent the emails.

Discussions:

• IACRL pre-conference update – March 20, 2014
  • Pre-conference information will be posted Monday, January 27
  • Beth, Frances W, Kirstin will attend. Frances B., Laura, and Aimee are maybe’s.
  • We will have an hour for the break-out session, with the following schedule:
    • Committee members introduce the session (5 minutes)
    • Brief introduction of assessment topics (20 minutes)
    • We will reach out to three people who submitted proposals for last fall’s webinar series to see if they would be interested in serving on this session. If they are interested, they will briefly introduce their assessment topic, as relates to instruction. We will provide participants with post-its to write questions to the presents, which could be gathered later and distributed.
    • If they are not interested, various committee members are willing to discuss their institution’s experiences with assessment as relates to instruction.
    • Break out tables (remainder of session)
    • Committee will provide sample questions to generate discussion. We could potentially have a recorder in each group and/or a brief wrap up session.
• Instruction forum update – Wednesday, June 18, 2014
  • Would potentially ask the same people to return, but open up to others, too
  • Still negotiating the location
• CARLI Annual Report & Assessment Project Report
  • We could possibly write a white paper on topics/themes from webinars, etc. in which we summarize what we did throughout the year & what we learned.
  • We can also include links to our webinars.
