Cindy will distribute spring meeting dates for ERWG via email

New Proposals

SBRnet
Questions: Do they provide usage stats, as they don’t appear to be a target in  SFX?  Is everything full text? SBRnet has a more market research slant, so not competing or overlap with SPORTDiscus, which contains more academic content. Will need to gauge interest among membership. Recommendation to trial along with other new proposals (Digitalia Hispanica and Intelecom) in February when member libraries are better able to review and comment.

Board meeting

• The Board approved the new WG --> Committee names and changes (including ERWG suggestions) which will be effective July 2013. There will be an opportunity for committee members to indicate if they do not wish to continue if they feel the new charge no longer supports their interest. There will be an opportunity to apply for another committee during the Spring call for volunteers.
• The Board authorized CARLI staff to engage in negotiations with Alexander Street Press for their streaming media products, including discussion of those libraries who have already purchased these products.

Wiley and Springer negotiations update: Cindy reported that these negotiations have been challenging. The Springer license went to UIUC Purchasing office today; Wiley has not yet been completed.

Usage Statistics Program update: Date has been set for Monday March 25, 2013. Cindy will post on CARLI calendar. Denise Green’s pre-symposium “nuts & bolt” of usage stats Webinar is nearly complete. Plan is to record and rollout 1-2 weeks before symposium. Cindy has sent the broad topics to keynote speakers for their review. Schedule for the day is shaping up. There will be an informal lunch topic to gauge how folks utilize usage stats, a best practice panel, and 3 breakout sessions, in addition to keynotes.

Other Business

1. Cindy/Mary will check our proposal page for bad back button/link routing which may have occurred with switch to new CARLI web site.
