Announcements   

CARLI Updates

• Notice regarding Infobase was sent last week regarding a lack of agreement for FY25.
• Bloomsbury contract review is ongoing
• Selection System is at end of life; CARLI looking for other options
• WEST opt-in deadline is May 17. Information about WEST: https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/collections-management/shared-serials-storage
• Elizabeth provided an update on the consortial ebook program.
• New EBSCOhost user interface coming, and libraries are required to change by Jan. 7, 2025.
• No Alma/Primo VE office hours this week. The next office will be about the May release notes.
• Committee volunteer form is open for CARLI committee terms beginning in July.

Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

• World Archives: the committee discussed the proposal and decided to review titles lists and discuss again in May.
• ASM International: the committee did not recommend moving forward with this proposal.
• Mometrix: CARLI will start working on a new contract after the fiscal year starts; will most likely be part of the calendar year selection cycle

Annual Project

• Qualtrics vs. WebTools testing and feedback for committee survey
  • Several members noted that they preferred the look and feel of the WebTools user interface
  • Qualtrics has a lot of tools and features
  • CARLI staff will look closer at admin tools to provide feedback on what is easier to manage

Decisions

• Minutes from the March 12 meeting were approved.
• Meeting was adjourned at 1:52 p.m.

Tasks Assigned

• Nicole and Jenny will take closer look at admin side of WebTools and Qualtrics
