Announcements   

CARLI Updates

• CARLI staff have worked through selections for the CY2024 cycle
• Most CARLI members with subscriptions to JSTOR have moved to the new model, including many community colleges (which needed to adopt the new model to continue with JSTOR), while a smaller number of libraries are maintaining their existing JSTOR collections. A couple of libraries purchased JSTOR collections outright.
• License agreements with ITHAKA and Wiley are in process
• For the CARLI FY25 ebook program, Elizabeth reported that commitments from member libraries are continuing to arrive. The deadline is 12/15. CARLI is hoping to grow the program in FY25.
• The editors of the MLA Handbook Plus are hosting a webinar for CARLI members on January 24, 2024.

Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

• There were no new proposals this month
• There are no updates relating to Third Iron

Annual Project

• The committee discussed potential questions for the e-resources interest survey posted in Box.
• The goal is to gather feedback from the larger CARLI membership, which will serve as useful background information for the committee when vendor proposals come in.
• Committee members conducted a group editing session to flesh out the survey and determine questions.

Decisions

• Minutes from the November 14 meeting were approved.
• The meeting was adjourned at 2:06 p.m.

Tasks Assigned

• Marie will put survey questions into Google Forms, to share with committee before the January meeting.
