CARLI Updates

• Jenny shared items from the CARLI board meeting report:
  • CARLI staff working on fall Selection System (for CY24)
  • CARLI working on new agreements with ITHAKA (JSTOR, Artstor) and Wiley
  • Talking with ACM about ACM Open - CARLI will opt out, and ACM will work with libraries directly
  • Announcement about UI Press media kit
• Marisa shared CARLI web page for Alma Community Zone Electronic Collection ID's, matching information in the Selection System
• Denise reminded the committee about the upcoming Alma/Primo VE office hours on September 14
• Elizabeth shared information about the CARLI ebook program
  • For FY24, CARLI members have access to Wiley (2019-present) and Oxford University Press (2019-present) for 6 subject areas (Biology, History, Law, Music, Political Science, Religion).
  • Members would like program to grow, but budget uncertainties limit planning

Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

Third Iron - the committee discussed the proposal, and challenges with CARLI brokering. CARLI staff will continue discussing.

Annual Project

• Jenny has internal outline on values and processes of brokering program, which will go tot he CARLI board for feedback. Jenny will then share with CPC for further discussion

Decisions

• Minutes from the July 24 meeting were approved.
• The meeting was adjourned at 1:52 p.m.
