Announcements

  • Member Announcements: None
  • CARLI Announcements:
    • All consortial eBooks agreements are now finalized. Oxford, Wiley, and JSTOR are the eBook platforms. Access will be through until June 2025.
    • I-Share update: New libraries are going live in a little over a week. New libraries will go live for resource sharing in July. I-Share libraries Anonymization being turned on in Alma in July.
    • State database package has been announced. Will be live on our EBSCOHost admin tomorrow. Statewide databases are contracted for three years.
    • CARLI database package has been announced. Cost savings for CARLI.

  • Three new Members of the Collection Management Committee for 2024-2025.

    • Justin Sextro, Southern Illinois University Carbondale
    • Janice, Jayna, and Kris terms are ending.
  • Weeding and Shifting Webinars
    • Webinar attendance for all three:  72 for June 7, 68 for May 31, and 78 for May 10.
    • 50% of attendance as compared to registration. This is a good percentage as it differs
    • Webinars were good for others to share similar experiences with weeding/shifting. Mostly talked about resources already available or free.
    • Librarians would like a complied list of information based on feedback from the webinars.
  • Weeding Webpage
    • Updates on the webpage-flowchart- Ask speakers for external/internal documents on how they addressed weeding. Talk about the “how”.
    • Make all notes available for the new incoming group.
    • Deadline for the webpage?
  • 2024-2025 Committee Chair/Co-Chairs
    • Start of July 1st, new chairs and co-chairs. Carl has volunteered to be committee Chair, Jackie and Briana have shown interest in being co-chairs.
