Decisions

  • The April 15 minutes were approved.

Tasks Assigned

  • Minutes taken by Erin Zimmerman.
  • Annual report due May 31. Committee members review and make changes.
  • Jen will ask Margaret about waiting to submit the report after the webinar series is ended.
  • Jen will get together with Elizabeth to discuss including a request for shared materials and a willingness to be contacted by other librarians needing information with the Thank You email.
  • Kris Veldheer (May 31) and Janice Derr (June 7) will serve as webinar moderators. Jackie Mann will monitor Chat.
  • Jen will look into using the Q&A feature for the next webinar.

Announcements

  • CARLI Announcements:
    • Selection for FY25 resources is closed.  Analysis of those has not been complete as the agreement with is still up in the air which may result in changes.
    • New members of the CARLI Governance Board were announced.
    • CARLI is still working on confirming the new committee members for 2024-2025.

Discussion

  • Annual Report:
    • Document has been posted in the Box file.
    • There was discussion about how to list Jackie Mann as she changed institutions this year.
    • The number of attendees will need to be updated after the webinar series.
    • Waiting until after the series to complete and submit the report would enable the committee to include total attendance as well and responses on the participant surveys.
  • Weeding and Shifting Webinars:
    • Webinar 1 - May 10 (moderator: Carl Lehnen, chat monitor: Briana Love)
      • Approximately 78 attendees.
      • Carl and Briana did a great job.
      • Attendee feedback so far has been overall positive.
      • Thoughts:
        • Possible use the Q&A feature to separate questions from general chat.
        • Encourage presenters to respond to questions out loud.
  • Weeding Webpage
    • Add any thoughts or ideas to the Box sheet.
    • It would be wise to wait until the webinars are complete before planning it out.
      • There will likely be themes that it could focus on.
      • It would be beneficial to use information from the CARLI community as it could allow usage of CARLI resources.
    • It would be helpful to include the institution and staff sizes on the webpage.
    • This could be a great jumping off point for next year.
