Announcements

• At U of Chicago, they are ready for their public launch of VUFind.
• At ISU they have been conducting interviews for the Dean of the Library position.
• CARLI announcements
  • Jen announced that the “new I-Share libraries” are now all integrated into the Universal Catalog and Universal Borrowing.
  • Elizabeth announced that the CARLI eBook PDA project is progressing; an announcement will go out this week from CARLI that EBL will be contacting libraries for authorization information next week. Elizabeth is working on a webpage to explain more about the project as details become available.

Decisions

• The first of the three Weeding webinars is Feb. 28.  Jen and Elizabeth are preparing the registration forms and announcement to go out the end of the week.
• The eBooks PDA forum will be June 2 at the iHotel in Champaign. Elizabeth reported that the group is still finalizing speakers and topics.
• We will work on the Committee Whitepaper focused on weeding issues more at the March and April meetings. People should continue to post ideas on the wiki.

Tasks Assigned

• Jane was selected to take Minutes.
• The Semi-annual Review of the Scholarly Communications Webpage will be conducted by Pam, Jeffrey, and John.

Discussion

• Elizabeth reported that people should register soon for the IACRL Preconference, as registrations are coming in fast (101 are already registered out of 120 seats).
