CONFERENCE CALL

Minutes

  • Marlee was confirmed to take minutes.
  • The June 25, 2019 meeting minutes were approved.

Review of FY2019 Projects and Activities

  • Promotion of digital collections
    • Surveyed CARLI membership to gauge how they use social media to promote digital collections.
    • Started promoting CARLI digital collections on CARLI facebook page using CARLI CCC members’ submissions and by creating a form for submissions by CARLI membership.
  • Linked data webinar series
    • Presented 3 webinars to give a basic overview of linked data and supply examples of current linked data projects in libraries.
    • The webinars had relatively high registration and attendance numbers and feedback was generally positive.

FY2020 Meetings

  • In-person meeting:
    • Amy and Elizabeth will send out a Doodle poll within the next week to set up a date in August/September for an in-person meeting at CARLI Headquarters. The meeting will focus on development of FY20 project(s) and the committee’s ongoing projects.
    • Ongoing projects: Google Analytics for CARLI Digital Collections and digital collections promotion posts on CARLI Facebook page.
    • Possible FY20 projects: investigating digital collections integrations with Alma/Primo VE and/or how CARLI libraries can represent digital objects in the new catalog; collaboration with the Preservation Committee on a digital preservation continuing education.
  • Monthly conference calls will take place on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00am.
