If your library has not already done so, please consider contributing to our "Other CARLI Collections" portal. This initiative was designed to expose digital collections at CARLI libraries that are hosted outside of CARLI's installation of CONTENTdm.
The 2014 Annual Meeting sessions will highlight research conducted by staff members from CARLI libraries. If you have conducted research that you think would be of interest to a CARLI audience, the Annual Meeting Planning Committee would like to encourage you to submit a proposal by completing a short survey. The Planning Committee is also interested in hearing from you if you would like to suggest sessions that you have seen presented in other venues.
The CARLI Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the I Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign. The 2014 Annual Meeting sessions will highlight research conducted by staff members from CARLI libraries.
A meeting of the CARLI Governing Directors will precede the Annual Meeting. More information about both of these meetings will be available soon.

The election and appointment process for new members of the CARLI Board of Directors has been completed. Directors elected to 3-year terms beginning July 1, 2014 are Tammy Kuhn-Schnell (Lincoln Land Community College), Richard Darga (Chicago State University) and Felice Maciejewski (Dominican University).
Patrick Dawson (Northern Illinois University), Karen Schmidt (Illinois Wesleyan University) and Frances Whaley (Illinois Valley Community College) have accepted one-year appointed seats on the Board.

CARLI is seeking applications for membership on the soon-to-be-established I-Share Next Task Force. This group will be charged with coordinating the complex and challenging task of identifying a product to ultimately replace Voyager as the operating platform for
Voting is now open for seats on the CARLI Board of Directors. Each of the CARLI constituencies—Community Colleges; Private Colleges and Universities; and Public Universities—will elect one new Board member for a three-year term (July 1, 2014–June 30, 2017).
Voting will remain open until 5 pm on Friday, May 9, 2014.
CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on 10 advisory committees. Volunteers chosen will serve a three year term, July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply.

CARLI is seeking proposals for the FY2014 Research Subsidy Program. Funded by the CARLI Board of Directors, the research awards will support research projects in Governing member libraries. Projects should have the potential to impact libraries and the library profession positively, have the potential to provide a useful addition to the existing literature, and be of interest or use to CARLI libraries. Total funding for FY2014 is $25,000.
Over 160 people attended the CARLI Annual Meeting in Champaign on Friday, November 1. Presentations by CARLI member librarians focused on a wide array of research projects that have been undertaken by a diverse array of CARLI libraries.

Register to attend the CARLI Annual Meeting on Friday, November 1, 10:30 am–3:00 pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Center in Champaign. The meeting will feature presentations of research by and/or about CARLI Libraries. Each session will last approximately 35 minutes (including Q&A)

The Nominating Committee of the Illinois Library Association is seeking academic librarians interested in serving on the ILA Executive Board. Two candidates will appear on the spring ballot for this academic post, for a three-year term beginning in 2014.
