In 2013, the CARLI Board of Directors approved funding for the digitization of the student yearbooks OR the student newspaper for all CARLI Governing members. The following information is for those institutions that have chosen to have yearbooks digitized. Institutions may choose to digitize yearbooks OR newspapers, but not both. The newspaper portion of the project is on hold pending the FY16 budget.

The CARLI EBL eBook Patron Driven Acquisitions Pilot Project is now live for all CARLI Governing Member institutions.
You have two ways of discovering and accessing these eBooks: a) by going directly to an EBL website for the project, or b) from MARC records in your catalog.

The CARLI Preservation Committee is pleased to present a webinar on
“Collection Assessment for Preservation Purposes.”
Three panelists will share information on different assessment models
that libraries with various levels of expertise and resources may use to
assess their preservation needs in preparation for preservation projects
and/or grant applications to fund those projects.
At its March 2011 meeting, the CARLI Board of Directors asked the Collections Working Group to study the current distribution of monographic titles in the I-Share database, and to determine whether an optimal number of monograph copies available for Universal Borrowing in I-Share can be reasonably established. The Collections Working Group reported its findings to the Board at the June 2011 meeting.
Session Description: This workshop will provide a thorough overview of the Book Digitization Initiative. It will include the proposal process and the responsibilities for participants.
