Announcements

CARLI announcements:

• The Illinois Library Association Annual Conference is in Tinley Park this year on October 10-12. CARLI staff asked if the group has interest in submitting a session proposal. The deadline for proposals is March 24. Jamie asked if the conference is relevant to academic libraries overall, recalling how sessions for academic libraries have been poorly attended. GM suggested a poster as a possible proposal, and CARLI staff will determine if posters will be accepted and if there is a separate proposal deadline. 
• There is no new information regarding the budget.

• Webliography
  • Library binding is complete and the list needs to be updated to reflect this.
• Events
  • Registration opened for the April 10 Collections Care workshop. Enrollment is at 15 with a few on the waiting list. Committee members are asked to register if they intend to come. Planning is continuing, and we are in good shape.
  • Anne will not be able to attend the Committee’s April 11 in-person meeting at ISU, but she hopes to call in at least a little bit.
  • Planning for the July 11 event continues. Jennifer Teper will conduct a 1 to 1.5 hour session. Due to the state budget, event attendees will likely be on their own for lunch, and also for coffee and snacks. It was noted that if morning coffee is not provided, the registration form should let people know. CARLI confirmed that Ms. Teper’s mileage will be reimbursed. The Presidential Library will offer her free parking.

Tasks Assigned

CARLI will confirm when proposals for Poster Sessions for the Illinois Library Association Conference are due.
